Tosha Silver's experiences have yielded a great book and priceless prayers that I will be memorizing.I ordered this on Kindle and quickly learned that I needed the hardback version too. I will be living with this book for awhile, so I have a portable version and one that I can open at random and use my trusty, yellow highlighter. It's only been about 48 hours since I read the Kindle version and I'm lighter, sleep better and am completely content in the knowledge that All is Well. Like many others who have written reviews here on Amazon, I LOVE this book! 2016 has been a year of colossal changes and the changes will be continuing for a while. I purchased this book when I broke my foot in July and read "Change Me Prayers" from front to cover within a day! I've been saying a CMP everyday, sometimes twice or more times a day and I have felt huge shifts in my life. Sometimes, I just open the book and say the prayer that appears on that page. Having Faith has never been one of my strongest suits, although, reading the CMP book continually helps me when I feel my faith wavering. When I really and truly let go and put all my faith and believe things start to show up. For instance, on the same day my employer informed me that I was losing my job, I received, in the mail a "limited time offer" to collect my pension early... and I'm years away from retiring. The day after, I had an interview that was totally unrelated to my current career, but was a lot more interesting and aligned with my true nature. That same week, a friend called and said that she had someone that might be interested in renting my spare room. Things continue to show up and I always say, "thank you". When I allow faith, a/k/a the Divine, to lead the way -- the possibilities that show up are pretty mind blowing. There is truly a power in prayer and handing it over. Thank you, Tosha Silver for helping me to experience the power of prayer without the dogma.
I have been waiting for Tosha Silver's latest book and it was certainly worth the wait! I am so inspired by her "real, raw" presence and I love the prayers. They bring me to tears. I am so thankful, thankful, thankful. It is truly a wonderful book.
I love this book. Tosha hits the mark in all the right places. She conveys a wisdom that is sorely lacking in most of the spiritual writings I encounter. In these changing and uncertain times in which we live, her book is a godsend! She is humble and generous in her offerings, and for that I'm very grateful.
Great short stories of inspiration and prayers to say to invite the Divine Beloved and peace in any situation. There is a guide of prayers in the back for specific issues like Forgiveness or Divine Worth. You will know you are saying the right prayer from the book when the words get stuck in your throat and it feels wrong to say such loving words because you want to feel that love and don't. That's the prayer to keep saying because that's the wound that wants healed. You have found the place where someone in your past made you feel unlovable and it's just not true. Prayers from the Divine Beloved (no matter what source you believe that comes from) shows how your own compassion can undo any past knots of unloving thoughts and bring peace.
Another wonderful book by Tosha Silver! Similarly to Outrageous Openness, it's filled with fun stories that illustrate how Tosha allows her life to be guided by a higher force, and asks for help as needed. The stories are shorter than in Outrageous Openness and end in a "Change Me Prayer" that is super short but extremely powerful! There's also a list of "Change Me Prayers" at the end of the book by subject so you can easily jump to whichever one you need in every situation. It is a book you can read every day and also a go-to book for whenever you feel stuck. Already love this book! Thank you, Tosha, for writing it!
Tosha's first book "Outrageous Openness" came into my life at the perfect time, as everything seemed like it was falling apart! Things are a bit calmer in my life now, mainly because I am. Tosha's books (and tele-classes) returned me to living from a place of love, offering and surrender rather than pushing and forcing. It's such a relief to not make a vision boards anymore! I finally see that the lessons that come through when I align with Divine's wish for my life are so much better than I could dream up (or cut and paste from magazines).The "Change Me Prayers" book shows me how get out of my own way and live from my highest heart, rather than my ego.Thank you Tosha.

The first part of the book is a collection of short stories illustrating places in life where a change me prayer might be useful and followed by an appropriate change me prayer. The second part of the book is an alphabetically by subject collection of change me prayers that one may use as a reference. The author also encourages readers to make up their own once they get the idea of how to apply this approach to prayer to life situations. This book sits firmly in that tradition of "The only one you can change in life is yourself;" and "We pray not to change God, but to change ourselves."
